A very nourishing and filling soup. Packed with proteins, rich in nutrients and high in fibre. Adding coconut in this soup will decreases the LDL cholesterol, preventing cardiovascular diseases. The vitamin A, vitamin E, polyphenols and phytosterols work together to fight against the bad cholesterol.
Ingredients: (Serving 4 people)
- 1/2 cup masoor dal – red lentils bina chilka
- 1/2 cup urad dal black lentils – chilka
- 1/2 cup Mung dal – green chilka split
- 1/2 cup Toor/ Arhar dal
- 1/2 cup chana dal split
Soaked for an hour
Mix all the below ingredients with the dals and pressure cook for 3 whistles:
- 2 Onions
- 4-5 Garlic cloves
- 3 Tomatoes
- Ginger grated
- 1-2 Green chillies (as per your taste)
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1tbs Red chillies
- Pink Salt
- Hing
- Black pepper
Add these after boiling
- 1.5 Lemon
- 1 big cup of Boiled Spinach
- Shredded Coconuts 7-8 pcs
Now you can blend everything with a hand blender or using a whisker
Put Coriander to garnish.
